Wismar

The Old Town of Wismar became a UNESCO-World Heritage site in 2002. It contains significant monuments of Nordic redbrick Gothic such as the old gorgeous middle-class houses "Zum Weinberg" (1355) and "Alter

Schwede" (1380) and the cathedrals St. Georgien, St. Marien and St. Nikolai. The market place with its waterworks is considered to be one of Europe’s most beautiful.
